The way I interpret allomantic manifestations (atium shadows, iron lines) is the fact that they're not actually directly wired to your visual cortex - they're just the best way your mind can interpret it. As such, and Inquisitor wouldn't have so much as sight as metal-sense - but to the degree and accuracy that we associate with vision.

marethyu316 โข 4 yr. ago The Lord Ruler didn't give his inquisitors feruchemical powers. He kept it only for himself. It wasn't until after his death, when Ruin started controlling the inquisitors that they started adding those spikes.

But say you had a unit of normal soldiers that were trained to, working together, defeat a Steel Inquisitor.

There probably isn't a lot of room for redundant powers unless you start from a mistborn; each Inquisitor under the Lord Ruler had 11 spikes. Additionally, I believe they had feruchemical gold. That leaves 5 spikes if you don't want copper, emotional allomancy, allomantic gold, and tin.
